We are looking for ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT with English to join our team in Gdańsk.


What will you get to do?

  • Verify invoice header data by applying standard procedures and Business Area specific knowledge
  • Process non PO and PO invoices in system in a timely manner according to SLA and with the desired quality level
  • Identify, communicate and handle invoice processing discrepancies from the standard procedure as well as subprocesses
  • Respond to internal queries on agreed timeline
  • Prepare and analyze various reports, coordinate and take actions within the team.
  • Identify potential, actively participate in process improvement initiatives and workshops;
  • implement new ideas independently as agreed with supervisor
  • Coordinate and perform month-end closing related processes
  • Handle Ad-hoc other AP tasks and escalations
  • Efficiently handle internal customer queries to ensure smooth AP process
  • Manage and maintain the AP Ledger with accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all invoices for the defined range of entities in the team, not only in own scope
  • Identify and communicate invoice processing issues, delays, and workload challenges.
  • Organize and conduct operational meetings with customers
  • Act as the deputy team leader in the case of absence, coordinating and taking responsibility for the entire team's work
  • Act as a mentor and teacher for newcomers and other team members

What kind of skills are we looking for?

We are looking for a customer-oriented individual. The ideal candidate is a true team player, proactive, well-organized, and ready to take ownership. They should have strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities effectively and ensure smooth coordination of tasks. Strong communication skills are essential, along with a professional and friendly manner when interacting with others.

Key qualifications and attributes include:

  • Communicative Business English (min. level B2)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in AP or similar area of duties

  • Invoice processing system knowledge

  • SAP knowledge

  • Excel proficiency

  • Problem solving skills

  • Orientation to details and quality

  • Nice to have: previous experience with Business Process Management and Process coordination.
