The team supporting the Administrative Office of the US Courts (AO) Case Management System Office (CMSO) is organized into 16 sub agile teams. We develop integrated solutions using the Agile/SAFe Framework. We focus on software development within AO to deliver systems for the Case Management and Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) Portfolio, which consists of mission-critical case management and related software to support federal appellate, district, and bankruptcy court judges and staff and external stakeholders. To date, courts have managed nearly 60 million cases using CM/ECF, with over 1.5 billion docket entries stored and available for viewing by 4 million registered users
The business operational analyst will have following responsibilities:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges
- Support production support team in analyzing operational issues received by the support desk.
- Collaborate with business users, developers and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
- Analyze operational trends, recurring incidents, and system performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Evaluating and understand As-is and To-be system requirements and capabilities. Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications for technical teams
- Identify areas for process optimization and efficiency enhancement. Recommend process improvements and assist in their implementation
- Provide support to developers, automated and manual testers by creating detail documentations and necessary workflows
- Understanding of software lifecycle management skills related to application development tasks and planning sprint cycles
- Ability to apply in-depth knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle in order to help anticipate complexities in the system
- Experience with modern web client technologies and the associated front-end to backend interactions
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a business operations analyst in an agile environment
- Experience in monitoring alerts, incident triage calls, root cause analysis sessions, and post-incident reviews.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of Agile & DevOps methodology and culture
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of relevant tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Visio, JIRA, Confluence and etc.
