As Payroll & People Services Coordinator you will the delivery of efficient, accurate, and compliant payroll and people operations across the employee lifecycle. Acting as a first point of contact for employee and manager queries, you will be responsible for processing day‑to‑day HR and payroll activities, maintaining high-quality people data, and ensuring adherence to established processes and controls. Working closely with the Payroll & People Services Manager and wider HR team, as coordinator you will play a key role in delivering a consistent service experience while supporting operational continuity, compliance, and continuous improvement across payroll and people services.
Key Responsibilities for the role include:
Supporting monthly payroll processing activities, including data input, validation, and reconciliation
Assisting in benefits administration (e.g. enrolments, changes, leavers)
Ensuring accurate employee data is maintained in Workday
Preparing standard payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders
Acting as first point of contact for employee and manager queries
Advising on policy and procedural queries across full lifecycle
Processing employee lifecycle changes (joiners, movers, leavers, contracts, references, background checks)
Supporting case management and documentation, ensuring audit readiness
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling payroll information and employee data
Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to respond to employee and manager queries
Ability to follow structured processes and operate within defined controls and procedures
Experience of working with HR or payroll systems and maintaining accurate data records
Understanding of HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including joiners, movers and leavers
Previous experience in HR operations, payroll, or administrative coordination roles
A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering a responsive and professional service
