Staff Software Engineer, Global Network Technology

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will own the product strategy and technical goal for our suite of network automation and operational intelligence platforms. You will be responsible for creating and delivering intelligent, product-centric solutions that predict, diagnose, and resolve issues across our infrastructure. You will lead the development of products that solve Google's most critical network challenges, driving the future of operational efficiency and resilience for our global network.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development in either (C, C++, Python, Java or Go).
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience leading the design, architecture, and execution of complex, large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience in mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar for the team.
- Experience in network engineering, automation, or building large-scale operational tooling with the ability to drive technical strategy and influence roadmaps in a product-centric environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to audiences and influence cross-functional partners.
