The Maintenance Engineer Assure the maintenance systems compliance in packing maintenance area through the LEGO Maintenance Model to achieve the LEGO Group standards (SQDC).

This role has a deep compromise to support the operations area with a sense of urge, safety, and quality to bring the most possible children into play, always with a great attitude as a customer service area we also need to be responsible and focused to deliver on time new installations, so we can keep growing and take part in the LEGO story.

Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure equipment reliability and product quality by maintaining high standards in maintenance practices and performance.
  • Lead maintenance projects end-to-end, including planning, execution, budgeting, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Drive effective use and continuous improvement of the CMMS, ensuring compliance with global standards and processes.
  • Oversee asset management activities, including annual asset verification and implementation of global maintenance initiatives.
  • Coordinate maintenance operations across teams and departments, including backup support for the Maintenance Manager when needed.
  • Optimize preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies while leading continuous improvement and resolving critical issues through root cause analysis.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent) with strong experience in maintenance or manufacturing, ideally in multinational environments.
  • Solid technical knowledge of machine safety, mechanics, pneumatics, electricity, and electronics.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills; experience with Lean/Six Sigma (Green Belt is a plus).
  • Proficiency in industrial drawings and advanced tools such as Excel, SAP, and CAD software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks).
  • Experience in project costing and budgeting; flexibility for off-shift work and occasional global travel.
  • Advanced communication skills both in English and Spanish, verbally and in writing and comfortable in presenting complex ideas.
