The Business Development Coordinator supports the initiatives and growth opportunities for the firm’s Tax, Employee Benefits, and Corporate practices as part of the BD team and provides similar support to other practices as needed. The Business Development Coordinator works collaboratively with, and as an integral part of, the Marketing and Business Development team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Directly support knowledge management projects (e.g., document audits, naming convention cleanup) to enable readiness for AI adoption.
Assist in developing and implementing strategies to cultivate business with current and prospective clients.
Conduct client, prospect, industry, competitor, and market research and analysis to inform targeted business development efforts.
Work with the firm's communications team to promote attorney successes and identify media, publishing, and speaking opportunities aligned with practice profile-raising objectives.
Assist with the coordination of practice group blogs and other internally-developed thought leadership, including content strategy and posting.
Identify cross-practice connections and opportunities to increase internal visibility.
Collect and maintain matter data in Foundation, the firm's experience management system.
Assist with legal directory and award submissions, including but not limited to Chambers, Legal 500, league tables, regional and industry-focused publication awards, and other such submissions.
Assist in the creation of tailored pitch materials, RFP responses, and client presentations.
Coordinate marketing expense approvals and help manage practice budgets.
Manage Deal Cloud-related functions, including development and maintenance of marketing lists, BD activity tracking, research, and reporting.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree; a combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position may be considered.
Minimum of two (2) years of marketing and business development experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services organization.
