Software Quality Engineer Intern - Fall 2026

What you'll be doing:
- Participate in the development of in-house automated and functional test scripts and tooling that address areas such as functional, system, API, integration, UI and regression testing
- Write automated tests for end to end platform tests to ensure the reliability of product capabilities for internal and external users
- Work collaboratively with Platform, Product, DevOps, and other teams in order to deploy and run automated tests on test environments with CI/CD
- Collaborate with other quality engineers and developers to increase automation coverage and enhance the automation framework
- Participate in technical planning, code review and architectural decision-making
What you bring the to the table:
- Previous internship experience where you've worked on quality assurance or testing of web applications
- Must be currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar program at a post-secondary institution
- Knowledge of at least one of Javascript, Typescript, Python, or Ruby
- Prior experience with API & UI test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest or Mocha
- Understanding of scalable system design and web-based API testing
- Ability to identify potential quality issues and technical debt, ensuring high level of code quality and stability
- Experience working with relational databases
The compensation range listed for this role reflects the expected hourly rate for candidates located in Ontario, Canada. It is informed by market data and the approved budget for this position. StackAdapt maintains different compensation ranges for roles across other countries and regions, and final offers will be aligned to the candidate’s current location.
This range represents hourly rate only. Depending on the role, candidates may also be eligible for additional compensation such as annual bonuses, commissions, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits package.
