Are you a university student in Japan interested in pursuing a career in finance and curious about how the Point72 Academy can help you get there? The Point72 Academy Tokyo Trek 2026 is an introductory, in-person program designed to give you an inside look at our Tokyo office and the opportunities available within the hedge fund industry.

If you are currently enrolled at a domestic university in Japan and are scheduled to graduate between December 2026 to September 2028, we invite you to apply for this immersive office experience. The Tokyo Trek is designed to expose high potential undergraduate students from all academic backgrounds to the possibility of building a career in investing.

The Point72 Academy is our equities analyst training program that equips Associates with the tools, structured training, and mentorship needed to develop into successful investment professionals. Since its inception in 2015, the Academy has graduated more than 200 analysts onto the Point72 platform globally, with some advancing to portfolio manager roles as of March 2026. The Tokyo Trek offers an early introduction to this career path and our broader investment platform.

During the Tokyo Trek, you will gain a foundational understanding of the hedge fund industry and the role fundamental analysts play in generating investment ideas. You will learn more about Point72’s culture, values, and investor-led mindset, and hear directly from investment professionals in our Tokyo office about their career journeys and day-to-day responsibilities. The program is also designed to help you better understand upcoming internship opportunities, gain early insight into graduate career pathways, and navigate the recruiting process with greater clarity and confidence.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We welcome applications from current students at domestic universities in Japan who are expected to graduate between December 2026 to September 2028. Students from all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply. Your major is not a determining factor; we are seeking individuals who demonstrate intellectual curiosity, integrity, strong analytical ability, leadership potential, and a genuine interest in financial markets. As the program will be delivered in both English and Japanese, candidates with proficiency in both languages are strongly preferred.
