Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As a Raw Materials Developer 1, you develop a variety of textiles that significantly impact the success of the end product. You learn from the best in the industry through hands-on experience and observation, and you provide support across various product categories, timelines, and sourcing strategies. You play a key role in the end-to-end materials development process and have the opportunity to drive process improvements and efficiencies along the way.
Meet Your Future Team:
The Materials Development Team drives sustainable innovation, delivering performance solutions that exceeds our guest’s expectations. We create concise materials palettes for each product category that can ultimately become brand icons for many years to come. Our success comes from our knowledge, standing true to the brand, and building strong partnerships with suppliers.
If you were the Raw Materials Developer 1 now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
Coordinating the intake process of material developments, third party materials testing, and the day-to-day functions of the raw materials development team
Maintaining the textile materials library (both virtual and physical), the seasonal palette board, and setting up new hangers for validated items each season
Supporting the development and sourcing of materials as needed for apparel and equipment lines to meet the company calendar deadlines and briefs
Testing materials using Arc'teryx custom and industry standard lab testing, including assisting with management of any materials-specific end use field testing
Owning the material development PO process; creating POs for development yardage and issuing POs to suppliers to support the concept and prototype making in-house and at T1 facilities
Ensuring the Product Line Management system (Centric) stays current and accurate with progress updates for your developments
Providing materials expertise and recommendations through consultations with the Quality team, to help monitor, evaluate and resolve materials issues in bulk production
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
