Model N is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Functional Analyst with experience in Business analysis, Application delivery, and Software Quality Assurance in fast-paced, collaborative environments. This role supports end-to-end SDLC activities to ensure solutions align to business objectives and meet defined functional and quality standards.
Key focus areas include:
- Requirements and analysis: lead requirements elicitation and documentation, analyse business processes, and facilitate requirement reviews and approvals.
- Solution definition: partner with stakeholders and technical teams to define and validate solution approaches, ensuring design alignment.
- Testing and quality: own test planning and execution, including test case development, defect management, validation of fixes, and support for regression and UAT.
- Release readiness: ensure overall solution readiness and quality prior to release.
Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrate strong knowledge of IS methodologies and processes (Project Life Cycle, SDLC, Change Management).
End to End ownership of Project deliverables
Gather, document, and communicate detailed business and functional requirements.
Facilitate requirement reviews, approvals, and signoffs.
Translate approved requirements into actionable solutions for development teams.
Plan and execute end-user testing and validate solutions against business needs.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders for requirements, UAT, and training.
Manage live production issues and support implementation cycles.
Job Qualification
BE/BTech or ME/MTech in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
4–7 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in implementation, development, or quality assurance.
Hands-on experience with business systems, enterprise applications, and testing methodologies.
Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and SDLC best practices, with proficiency in UML.
Experience in test case design, execution, and maintenance of the Requirements Traceability Matrix.
Experience managing production issues and supporting test cycle planning.
Project leadership and customer-facing experience, with strong communication and presentation skills.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Adaptability and flexibility in responding to changing business needs.
Ability to deliver formal presentations tailored to different audiences.
Practical experience applying AI tools across the QA lifecycle, including requirements analysis, test design, automation support, defect triage, RCA preparation, etc
