IT Administrator

inDrive · Almaty

The IT function keeps the foundations' IT infrastructure stable, secure, and efficient — supporting users, administering corporate services, and advancing the organization's technology processes. This role ensures uninterrupted operation of the foundation's IT systems, equipment, and services: technical support for staff, administration of accounts and infrastructure, and contribution to the development and optimization of IT processes within information-security standards.
Transformation period (separation project phase)
Architecture and project decisions are owned by the project team (PM + leadership); the administrator delivers the technical execution of the plan:
  • Execute contractor agreements and coordinate contracted work.
  • Procure and accept equipment.
  • Set up workstations and staff working environments.
  • Carry out domain, mail, and server migration per the approved plan.
  • Deploy and configure the new IT environment and network to the project team's design.
  • Configure access systems and baseline information-security policies.
  • Support migration and integration of educational systems (including integration with the Satpayev infrastructure).
  • Maintain technical documentation of completed work and hand solutions over to operations. (Target outcome: an autonomous inVision IT infrastructure ready for stable operation.)

Ongoing IT operations (core workload)
Service priority: inVision U / Resource Center. Support for Spark, AAI, and MHD as part of operations.
  • Support company staff (~50+): workstations, accounts, access, SLAs.
  • Support students (130+) and teachers: account management, access to learning systems, network access.
  • Administer Google Workspace and corporate services.
  • Monitor servers and IT services; run updates and baseline information security.
  • Organize data backup and recovery.
  • Keep the established IT architecture operational.
  • Maintain technical documentation and the knowledge base.

Digital & marketing tooling support
  • Technical support for digital platforms used by the marketing and education teams (websites, landing pages, registration forms).
  • Support online registration systems for educational programs and events.
  • Technical support for web-analytics and tracking tools.
  • Connect and support mailing services and corporate mail systems.
  • Support integrations of the digital services and platforms used across educational programs.

Qualifications:
  • Higher education in IT or relevant professional courses (ITIL Foundation; Google Workspace / Microsoft certifications an advantage).
  • 3+ years in system administration or IT support.
  • Experience independently running IT operations in a company of 30+ people.
  • Experience in infrastructure projects (migrations, deployments, relocations) a plus.
Hard skills requirements:
  • Windows and macOS administration; basic Linux administration.
  • Google Workspace administration.
  • Networking: TCP/IP, VPN, basic management of small networks (routers, switches, Wi-Fi).
  • Account and access-rights management.
  • Setup and maintenance of equipment (workstations, peripherals, network hardware).
  • Information-security basics: password policies, MFA, basic access management.
  • Backup and data recovery.
  • Ticketing systems (Jira or equivalent).
  • Technical documentation.
Will be an advantage:
  • Scripting and automation of routine tasks (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Experience with MDM systems.
  • Basic understanding of cloud services (Google Cloud / Microsoft 365 / AWS).
Soft skills requirements:
  • Systematic working style (process-driven, nothing dropped or forgotten).
Accountability (takes a task to completion, doesn't pass it off).
Proactivity and independence (spots improvements and acts without being managed by hand).
  • Also valued: client orientation, effective communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, teamwork, time management, adaptability, resilience, willingness to learn.
  • Help us challenge injustice by creating fair choices for millions of people across 1100+ cities in 48 countries.
  • Develop your professional skills with access to mentoring, career consulting, and learning programs.
  • Collaborate with teams around the world and gain international experience through our Global Talent Exchange Program.
  • Engage in company-wide challenges, awards, sports activities, employee-led social impact and volunteering projects.
  • Work alongside people who take initiative, speak openly, and challenge themselves to grow.
  • Improve your language skills through co-financed courses and internal speaking clubs.
Final benefits may vary depending on the location.
