Meet the Team
The Splunk CX FP&A team is a group of highly motivated, hardworking finance professionals who engage with Splunk CX business partners and finance across Cisco. The Finance Manager is a highly visible role on this team, and is responsible for (1) Splunk Services Topline, including bookings & revenue, and (2) P&L management of the Splunk Global Advanced Services – Transaction (AS-T) org.

Primary responsibilities include:
- Quickly establish positive relationships, build credibility, and become a key advisor for our CX leaders and their respective teams, allowing you to develop a solid understanding of business data inputs and outputs.
- Roll up your sleeves and assist in developing the monthly, quarterly, annual and multi-year forecasts for bookings, revenue, margin, COGS, OPEX, and headcount.
- Build and maintain detailed financial and operating models to help predict future performance, perform scenario analyses, and guide the business on strategic decisions. Key models will include the Services Bookings models, the Bookings-to-Revenue model, and the AS-T Capacity model including BB utilization and RB spend.
- Intimately involved in the month-end close process, including owning monthly accruals, cross charges, headcount reconciliation, and actuals vs. budget reporting with investigation and commentary on variances.
- Analyze results, distill/synthesize business performance indicators/metrics, assess business risk and operating performance, and timely communicate risks and opportunities.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or related field at multi-national companies. Ideally experience managing some combination of: OPEX, COGS, Headcount, Revenue, Margin, Bookings.
- Strong financial modeling experience
- Strong systems skills (Hyperion Essbase, Business Objects, Anaplan, Tableau, etc.)
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Fluent in English
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience with topline (bookings & revenue)
- Prior experience with P&L management
- Ability to work independently – taking ownership of your responsibilities, driving initiatives, and implementing change where necessary
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with many individuals at all levels both inside and outside of finance
