Senior Financial Analyst (AI & Process Transformation)
About the Team
Reporting to the Senior Director, Accounting of the Controllership Strategy & Enablement Team, you will be at the forefront of Salesforce’s finance transformation. This role is designed for a technically minded finance professional who bridges the gap between traditional accounting and cutting-edge AI development and technology.
Your Mission
As a member of the Controllership Strategy & Enablement Team, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, building relationships with Controllership, global accounting teams, and broader business operations to scale our processes through AI and automation related innovation.
You will be the primary individual contributor responsible for developing AI-driven solutions within the finance space. Your goal is to move beyond manual processing by designing, coding, and implementing automated workflows that enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
Exceptional candidates will be critical thinkers with focus on implementing AI innovation, process improvements to streamline and scale Salesforce’s processes for growth while not compromising compliance.

Responsibilities
Develop, implement and manage Artificial Intelligence (AI)-motivated/automated core financial processes, including month-end closing, reporting solutions, in-depth variance analysis and scalable monitoring for the business.
Act as a key point of contact providing AI-enabled support to Controllership (including automation and process improvements).
Use a product-driven mindset to transform key Finance processes using Agents and AI.
Partner with finance stakeholders, including SMEs and process owners, to understand business needs, processes, and opportunities for AI and data-driven solutions.
Continuously drive the automation of accounting and reporting processes; rethink the status quo to gain efficiency.
Propose and implement best practices that simplify, standardize and how we work through AI; roll out global processes and systems globally, justify and document regional exceptions due to local requirements
Drive engagements with global / regional accounting and cross functionally
Ad-hoc global or regional finance projects as necessary
Participate in various department-wide initiatives

Skills and Experience
5+ years of experience with global company (preferably in SaaS, technology or related industry) or equivalent practical experience. Big 4 experience a plus
Experience working with datasets and coding languages database, automation, or business intelligence (e.g., SQL, Python, R, JavaScript, Google Script, Tableau, Looker, etc).
Experience with implementing AI, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and other automation technologies within a finance context.
Experience building agentic workflows (e.g., agent development kit (ADK), context management, and prompt engineering) to transform corporate processes.
Experience in or a strong understanding of the enterprise technology space or emerging AI/agents.
Proficiency in leveraging AI tools.
Excellent problem-solving and technical (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Data Visualization tools) skills, with the ability to work with large volumes of complex data and combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders of all levels.
Ability to work with ambiguity.
Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured environment.
Ability to identify and drive business accounting process improvement through AI and automation.
Strong communication, collaboration and teamwork skills across all levels
Proven critical thinking capability
Process re-engineering involvement and / or process efficiency focus
Experience with major ERP system required (e.g. Workday) preferred
Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS and other local compliance equivalent is a plus
