What's the opportunity?

As our Fraud Prevention Analyst III, you will join our Tactics team. In this role, you will lead and define the fraud prevention strategy for complex industries and key global merchants. Your objective will be to own the decision-making process for our most challenging scenarios, optimizing the balance between risk mitigation (chargebacks), user experience, and business growth. You will act as a strategic bridge between data insights and commercial objectives, driving the team toward an AI-first culture and identifying opportunities to turn fraud prevention into a revenue-enabling function.

What will I be doing?

  • Leading the identification of complex fraud patterns through proactive data analysis, anticipating emerging threats before they impact the business.
  • Designing and standardizing strategic rules and automated frameworks that can be scaled across different industries and teams.
  • Mentoring junior and mid-level analysts, acting as a technical reference, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  • Collaborating with Data Science to refine machine learning models, acting as the subject matter expert to propose new features and optimize scoring thresholds.
  • Taking ownership of KPIs for major industries, balancing fraud targets with conversion and revenue goals, and presenting clear "data stories" to senior stakeholders.
  • Driving automation and AI capabilities, actively exploring new tools (like AI agents or LLMs) to minimize manual review and increase the team's operational velocity.
  • What skills do I need?

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in fraud prevention, risk management, or high-scale data-driven roles.
  • Advanced command of large databases; SQL is a must.
  • Knowledge of Python or a similar data-oriented language is a plus.
  • Automation & AI Mindset: Genuinely curious and eager to explore new technologies (LLMs, automated agents, or workflow tools) to solve traditional fraud challenges and improve efficiency.
  • Experience with data management tools such as AWS Athena, Sagemaker, or Quicksight is a bonus.
  • Strategic Communication: Ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable business recommendations for diverse audiences.
  • Proactive leader, team player, and natural problem-solver who thrives in "exploring" new ways to do things.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
