Why this Role Matters
This role contributes to the Luxembourg Metrology organization by supporting product development, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance through chemical and analytical expertise. As a Laboratory Technician, you play an important part in preparing samples, conducting chemical analyses (including thermal analysis, chromatography, and wet chemistry), and generating reliable data. Your work helps teams better understand tire performance and supports continuous improvement. Through careful documentation, attention to equipment care, and respect for safety and quality practices, you contribute to a reliable and supportive laboratory environment.
What You’ll Do
Prepare and isolate samples according to established laboratory procedures.
Conduct laboratory analyses using standard and specialized techniques such as thermal analysis, chromatography, and wet chemistry.
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments to support consistent and reliable results.
Ensure the accuracy and consistency of test outcomes while respecting safety and quality requirements.
Review and validate data thoughtfully, identifying and communicating any deviations when needed.
Document results clearly to support knowledge sharing and ensure traceability.
Contribute to the smooth running of the laboratory by supporting equipment maintenance and calibration activities.
What you’ll bring
Basic Qualifications
BTS in Laboratory Technology or Applied Sciences, with 2–3 years of experience in chemical laboratory analysis.
Good knowledge of chemistry and experience with laboratory instruments (e.g., chromatography, spectroscopy, thermal analysis, wet chemistry).
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively in English and French.
Strong attention to detail and a careful, responsible approach to safety, quality, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in laboratory technology, chemistry, physics, or a related discipline.
Experience with chromatographic techniques (GC, HPLC, GPC), spectroscopic methods (UV-Vis, IR), and thermal analysis (TGA, DSC).
Interest in learning and developing further skills in sample preparation and analytical methodologies.
