Senior Electrical Engineer, Laptops and Tablets

Google engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The Laptops and Tablets Hardware Engineering team works closely with SOC/CPU manufacturers and OEMs/Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) in delivering next-generation computing devices.

In this role, you will develop new products for our users. You will be able to adapt quickly and demonstrate a passion for addressing new problems as we continue to push technology forward. You will design, develop and deploy next generation hardware with manufacturing partners together. You will define system hardware architects and requirements, oversee physical engineering design layout, troubleshoot and work cross-functionally on system integration. You will also work cross-functionally with software, operation and product to deliver systems to production.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience working in a consumer electronics system design technical environment.
• 4 years of experience in circuit board level design engineering, including CPU or chipset, memory, high speed communication interfaces, and power supplies.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in leading teams or mentoring engineers for OEM/ODM models.
