The Opportunity

Working alongside a team of senior engineers you will learn and grow as you apply your existing skills in structural design and engineering. In this position you will work on specification and design engineering related to structures and foundations made of concrete, steel, wood, composites, other engineered products.  Structures you may work on in this role include buildings, platforms, stations, retention and drainage structures, pipe racks and similar infrastructure.

Whilst in the role you will devise new approaches to problems encountered. Tasks will include both design of small straightforward assignments and assistance in design of larger and more complex assignments, both of which involve conventional engineering plans, innovative solutions, investigations and surveys.

Who are you?

As a Structural engineer you will be able to perform all conventional aspects of structural engineering. You will be able to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making relevant adaptions and modifications.
 

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Perform structural calculations and analysis in accordance with Australian Standards to support design projects.
  • Assist in preparing tender documents, including scopes, inclusions/exclusions, and estimates for design and documentation efforts.
  • Participate in project meetings, briefings, and discussions, sharing insights and ensuring information flows effectively.
  • Develop design documentation, including marking up and sketching concepts to communicate design intent clearly.
  • Review project drawings and documentation, identifying areas for improvement to ensure high-quality deliverables.
