Manager, Employee Communications
Salesforce is hiring a Manager, Employee Communications to lead the planning and execution of internal communications for business-critical employee programs. This person will own key stakeholder relationships across Employee Success, Finance, and other program areas — serving as a trusted communications partner who shapes strategy, drives alignment, and delivers clear, timely, action-driving communications across channels – from Slack and email to agentic nudges and manager cascades.
You're a seasoned communicator and natural leader with sharp instincts, a strategic mindset, and a bias for action. You thrive in a fast-paced, vision-forward environment where you can own complex programs end-to-end, lead stakeholder relationships at all levels, and raise the bar on what internal comms can deliver. You bring both the big-picture thinking and the editorial discipline to get it done — and you make the team better in the process.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own end-to-end communications planning and execution for assigned programmatic areas, including but not limited to ES initiatives (Open Enrollment, Comp/Merit, Benefits, Learning & Development) and Finance (Payroll, Travel & Entertainment) programs
Partner with program owners to develop communication strategies that are clear, human, and drive employee action — not just awareness
Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders across Employee Success, Finance, and other program areas — serving as their go-to communications partner and strategic advisor
Write and edit sharp content and lead channel strategy decisions for assigned programs — spanning Slack messages, email, agent nudges, manager cascade materials, and more
Establish and uphold communications standards and best practices across programmatic comms, ensuring consistency in voice, channel strategy, and execution quality
Leverage AI tools to accelerate content production, improve personalization, and continuously raise the bar on what programmatic comms can deliver
Use data to measure communication effectiveness and apply learnings to continuously improve
Contribute to team planning, editorial calendars, and our day-to-day operating rhythm
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
5–7 Years of experience in internal/employee communications or a related field; experience in a high-tech or fast-paced global environment strongly preferred
Exceptional writer with the ability to make complex program information feel simple, clear, and actionable
Proven ability to build and manage senior stakeholder relationships, influence without formal authority, and serve as a trusted communications advisor
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment — able to exercise sound judgment, manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders under pressure
Strong project management skills with the ability to own multiple programs and adapt priorities seamlessly
Actively uses AI tools to drive efficiency and quality — and brings curiosity about what's next
High accuracy, attention to detail, and a proactive, results-oriented attitude
Proven track record of developing and executing internal communications plans that drive employee action
