Role Summary and Impact
As a Social Media Manager, you will serve as a key strategic partner for the client, expertly managing social conversations for some of the world's leading brands. You will be responsible for identifying 'golden nugget' opportunities for content creation and social engagement, significantly enhancing brand presence and reputation. This role is ideal for a social media expert who deeply understands brand personality and can effectively translate it into engaging online conversations. You are an idea-generating, trend-identifying, wordsmithing, conversational powerhouse who thrives at the forefront of audience interaction and content creation, dedicated to making brands truly shine on social platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Client Partnership
- Receive and interrogate briefs from clients, supporting in brief development for creative teams and other partners.
- Help craft Tone of Voice guidance for FAQs and copy for brand’s social channels.
- Develop brand social channel strategy workstreams, with a particular focus on oral care.
- Plan and create comprehensive social content calendars.
- Present content ideas and brand social strategy to clients.
Listening and Engagement
- Actively listen and respond to relevant consumer comments and questions.
- Provide on-brand responses to influencer and consumer @mentions.
- Identify opportunities for the brand to surprise and delight its audience.
- Manage and nurture a network of brand advocates, identifying key engagement opportunities in organic planning and growing communities.
Content Creation & Collaboration
- Monitor feeds for relevant opportunities to inject the brand into culture.
- Spot new influencer opportunities and trends.
- Track trending topics and identify reactive content opportunities.
- Write compelling copy for organic posts and paid/dark content.
- Collaborate and coordinate with Content Creators in content planning and creation (e.g., photoshoots for video and stills production).
- Champion platform best practices across all content developed for your brand, ensuring content is platform-native.
- Collaborate with local influencer agencies and brand teams for influencer-led content planning and creation.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in social media marketing, either agency-side or client-side, specifically within brand marketing.
- Proven experience working with FMCG, food, beauty, or homecare brands is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management, including internal teams, cross-departmental colleagues, and external clients.
- Prior experience in strategy and client-management roles.
- Experience using social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.).

- A well-rounded, creative individual who is constantly innovating, initiating, and creating.
- Exceptional written communication and copywriting skills with a strong creative flair.
- Nuanced and thorough knowledge of various social platforms and their effective application for commercial results.
- Deep understanding of cultural zeitgeist, with the ability to identify and leverage opportunities to tell brand stories.
- Strategic and level-headed thinker with an entrepreneurial and proactive approach to spotting content opportunities and achieving client business ambitions.
- Keen interest in digital trends and an obsession with popular culture.
- Excitement for and curiosity about new innovations, particularly the integration of Gen AI tools.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Native proficiency in Italian and fluent in English (both spoken and written) due to collaboration with international teams.
- Understanding of paid media and the critical role of influencers and creators in social strategy.
- Evidence of gravitas and strong relationships with previous clients.
