Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor daily waste management operations, ensuring proper handling, segregation, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with local regulations and LEGO Group standards.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and closure of actions related to waste audits, inspections, and compliance assessments, maintaining proper documentation and traceability.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external waste service providers, ensuring correct execution of waste collection, transportation, and disposal activities.
  • Maintain control and administration of waste records and manifests, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Support the implementation of waste reduction initiatives, including waste segregation improvements, hazardous waste minimization, and Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWTL) efforts.
  • Monitor and report waste-related KPIs, including total waste generation, hazardous waste, and waste disposal methods, ensuring data accuracy and visibility.
  • Support compliance with environmental regulations and internal standards, ensuring proper handling, labeling, storage, and documentation of waste materials.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimize waste management processes and reduce environmental impact.

Do you have what it takes?

  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial waste management, including handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements related to waste management (e.g., local regulations, manifests, reporting).
  • Experience in waste handling, segregation, storage, and disposal processes within industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience coordinating with waste service providers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting audits, inspections, and compliance processes, including documentation and follow-up of findings.
  • Ability to manage waste documentation and records, ensuring traceability and compliance.
  • Basic experience in data tracking and KPI monitoring related to waste generation and performance.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and ensure timely execution and follow-up.
