Product Manager, Risk and Compliance Tooling and Infrastructure

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

As a Product Manager in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Tooling and Infrastructure team, you will lead the strategy and execution for the next generation of risk management tools. You will bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and engineering solutions. In this role, you will be working cross-functionally in partnership with engineering, UX, legal, and privacy stakeholders to deliver infrastructure.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in technical product management, taking software products through a full lifecycle.
  • Experience building or implementing AI/ML-driven features or infrastructure (e.g., working with LLMs, NLP, or data pipelines).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in risk management, compliance, security, or governance technology.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, model evaluation, or deploying AI solutions in a corporate/enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure components, APIs, and how to scale data-intensive platforms.
  • Ability to use data to justify product decisions and measure the efficiency gains of automated workflows.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in legal and risk.
