This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Designation : Senior Director - Quality Assurance (Internal Controls - Marsh Global)

We will count on you to:

The Senior Director of Quality Assurance, Controls & Compliance is a strategic leader responsible for driving the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of quality frameworks and process controls across the region. This role ensures robust risk management and regulatory compliance while enabling superior client service and supporting the organization’s financial performance. Partnering closely with Business Functional and Operational Center leaders, the Director develops sustainable, repeatable controls that elevate service standards and operational execution. Additionally, they analyze data, tools, and processes to proactively manage risk and represent Internal Controls on global forums, providing timely insights and escalation to safeguard the firm’s interests.

What you need to have:

  • Strategic and Operational Leadership:
    Participate with Senior Management in the ongoing strategic and operational review of the quality assurance infrastructure to ensure alignment with business objectives and maximize team effectiveness.
  • Quality Analysis and Insights:
    Lead the completion of highly complex quality analyses, communicate results and trend insights, and leverage findings to drive process enhancements and targeted training initiatives in collaboration with key business stakeholders. This function will support the following:
    • Operational Control Reviews and Risk Assessments:
      Oversee regional and value stream operational control reviews and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
    • Project Leadership and Control Framework Enhancement:
      Lead departmental projects aimed at developing and continuously improving the control framework and its management, working cross-functionally to embed robust controls across the business.
    • Quality Framework and Controls Library Management:
      Maintain and enhance the quality framework and controls library to support consistent application of controls and quality standards globally.
    • Global Risk Acceptance Reporting:
      Manage reporting related to global risk acceptance, ensuring transparency and accountability in risk management practices.
    • Learnings and Best Practices (from historical and recent trends):
      Integrate learnings and industry best practices into quality assurance processes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Innovation and Automation:
    Lead proof of concept initiatives related to AI and automation (e.g., Global Quality) to enhance quality assurance capabilities and operational efficiency.
  • Training and Development:
    Partner with stakeholders to evaluate, develop, and implement training programs for new operations-impacting initiatives. Assess training effectiveness to ensure maximum impact on operational quality.
  • Team Leadership and Coaching:
    Lead, develop, and coach a team of senior Quality Analysts, fostering a high-performance culture focused on quality excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Build strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders by understanding their issues, resolving problems, and reviewing working practices to secure buy-in and support for quality initiatives.
    • Provide proportionate management information to the Operational Centers, Business Client Services (BCS) Leadership and Internal Controls Forum across 1st and 2nd lines of defense.
    • Propose and conduct deep dives into specific risk areas, reporting findings to the Internal Controls Forum and applicable regional Risk Committee.
    • Cross collaborates between the Process Leaders/business (First Line), Second Line Global Monitoring (Risk & Compliance) and Third Line (Internal Audit), reporting to the Global Head of Internal Controls, Marsh Risk. 
  • Compliance and Policy Development:
    Collaborate (as necessary with Business Risk Owners, Compliance and Legal) to develop policies and procedures that ensure ongoing business compliance with industry regulations. Design departmental activities and management routines to uphold regulatory standards.
