Measuring and Testing Specialist/Analyst

Grade:CL

Reporting: Site Quality Manager

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Custodian of material specifications

  • Working alongside Raw Material Inspector to establish whether to accept or reject incoming materials.

  • Implement sampling plans & testing methods for raw materials.

  • Manage material retention & reference samples

  • Identify non-conforming materials; Make disposition decision

  • Assist Raw Material Inspector with raising non-conformances, communication with suppliers & procurement.

  • Drive non-conformance closure

  • Manage validation, calibration and verification of measurement and testing equipment

  • Ensure that only validated methods are used

  • Drive GLP’s

  • Participate in/ or develop proficiency testing schemes

  • Ensure adherence to sampling, handling and testing schedules

  • Interpret results (accept or reject)

  • Provide professional opinion in case of non-conforming results, where required

  • Raise non-conformance and communicate to processing / manufacturing/ site quality manager/lead

  • Analyze test results of materials and trend data to identify CI opportunities

  • Verify measurement and testing equipment data for trend to identify CI opportunities

  • Drive quality continuous improvement programs

  • Develop & conduct training

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum qualifications required by the position:

  • Diploma in natural sciences (biochemistry, analytical chemistry, or microbiology)

  • TQM / B. Tech. would be advantageous

  • Sound working knowledge of the MS Office suite (Outlook; PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Minimum experience required by the position:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a laboratory

  • Strong communication skills at different levels

  • Independent thinking and assumes process ownership
