DESCRIPTION:
Join our team as a Scientist I, Chemistry at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll contribute to global health, environmental protection, and scientific advancement. In this role, you'll conduct chemical analyses on various sample types supporting workflows associated with cell culture processes, including cell culture medium and reagents. You'll prepare equipment prior to analyzing samples and prepare samples for analysis and participate in process improvement initiatives. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and compliance with regulatory requirements while contributing to solutions that help our customers make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree required, no prior experience required
• Preferred Fields of Study: Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific field
• Strong analytical and technical skills with demonstrated proficiency in laboratory procedures and instrumentation
• Experience with HPLC and other analytical equipment preferred
• Proven ability to follow SOPs, GLP guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail in maintaining laboratory records
• Strong mathematical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory information systems
• Experience handling hazardous chemicals and biological materials following safety protocols
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Effective time management and organizational abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Openness to learning new techniques and adapting to changing priorities
• Manual dexterity and ability to perform precise laboratory techniques
• Ability to work standard business hours with occasional flexibility as needed

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $53,300.00–$70,000.00.
