Material Planner

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain plans, forecasts, and schedules for material requirements to support operational needs.

  • Work closely with suppliers and internal plant support teams to ensure activities are clearly defined and executed effectively.

  • Monitor daily delivery plans to ensure alignment with schedules and promptly highlight any discrepancies.

  • Create purchase requisitions with consideration of request dates, component availability, capacity constraints, and other resources required to support on‑time delivery.

  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date material master data in SAP (MRP views).

  • Forecast raw material and component requirements and communicate plans to buyers and suppliers.

  • Collaborate with Receiving and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure timely release of raw materials, including coordinating and scheduling meetings as required.

  • Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels and support actions to optimize inventory performance.

What Can You Bring to Alcon:

  • Bachelor’s degree holder.
  • Strong understanding of material planning.
  • Good understanding of SAP ERP is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Strong project and time management abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
