Summary:

 

The Stores Inventory Specialist is responsible for the effective management of engineering spares and materials, including receiving, storage, issuance, and tracking of inventory. The role ensures accurate stock records are maintained in SAP, conducts regular cycle counts and reconciliations, and upholds compliance with QSE standards. This position plays a critical role in supporting maintenance teams through the timely availability of essential spares, liaising with suppliers and logistics to ensure prompt deliveries. The incumbent will also be tasked with optimising stock levels to minimise costs, reduce downtime, and enhance operational efficiency.

 

Role and Major Responsibilities of Position:

 

·  Manage engineering spares/materials; receive, store, issue & track inventory

·       Maintain accurate stock records in SAP

·       Conduct cycle counts & reconciliations

·       Ensure compliance with QSE standards

·       Support maintenance teams by ensuring availability of critical spares

·       Liaise with suppliers & logistics for timely delivery

·       Optimize stock levels to reduce costs & downtime.

 

Minimum Requirements for Position: (Education, skills, experience, etc.)

·        Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or Engineering

·        3+ yrs stores/inventory management experience (preferably in FMCG/manufacturing)

·        SAP proficiency

·        Strong analytical, organisational & reporting skills

·        Knowledge of engineering spares

·        Good communication & teamwork skills.
