North America Material Logistics is responsible for coordinating the movement of all inbound material to support vehicle production at each of our assembly plants. This role is responsible for developing the inbound logistics network for new model launches - ultimately delivering an efficient and cost-effective network.  This position is a hybrid model (remote/in-person).  

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Lead cross-functional group of launch support teams to deliver low-cost, efficient inbound freight network to support new model launches
  • Support achievement of $100M+ NAML cost reduction task
  • Meet launch deliverables and ensure no premium freight needed for launch 
  • Single point of contact for NAML launch readiness reviews
  • Develop and maintain inbound freight databases, dashboards, and key metrics
  • Work with Penske to design and implement inbound freight network changes to support new model launches
  • Support yard management and material flow engineering simulations with new model freight details

     

You'll have... 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 or more years of experience in one or more of the following fields: Supply Chain, Logistics, Premium Freight, Manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of Material Planning & Logistics systems (TMS or similar systems) and Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio

  • Demonstrate ability to produce quality results under time constraints, sometimes in team setting, other times alone.
  • Operational proficiency in database manipulation using MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Operational proficiency in RPA creation & GDIA tools - experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik, etc.
  • Practical working knowledge of Ford production part number & naming nomenclature, manufacturing, and assembly plant processes.
  • Operational experience with MP&L Systems - WERS, CMMS, PFEP, etc.
  • Motivated to plan aggressively, accept challenges, take responsibility for assignments, deliver objectives on time
  • Effective verbal and written communication, presentation, and meeting skills.
  • Project management– time management skills, create/maintain open issue lists, master schedules, lead cross functional teams, issue resolution, financial tracking, management of program spending, equipment procurement.
  • Proactive issue identification and resolution.
  • Deliver results on time and with high quality

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $72,480-121,440. 

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360. 

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120.
