IT Support Technician – Bristol / Worcester
Location: Bristol (2–3 days per week) with travel to Worcester and other sites
Type: Fixed Term Contract

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable IT Support Technician to join a growing team supporting a specialist customer environment. This is a hands-on role providing on-site technical support across multiple locations, offering excellent exposure and career development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site IT support across customer sites (4–5 days per week)
- Travel to additional locations to support projects and provide team cover
- Support Windows 11 environments, including troubleshooting and log analysis
- Deliver software and basic hardware support (break/fix, fault resolution)
- Support core server infrastructure, including:
- Active Directory (user management – joiners, leavers, movers)
- DHCP, DNS, and VAMT
- Perform data management tasks (including tape library archiving)
- Carry out BAU operational activities:
- Antivirus and network monitoring
- Storage and capacity management
- Hardware health checks
- Assist with office moves, hardware installations, and basic server maintenance
- Maintain accurate records and update ticketing systems
- Follow SOPs and contribute to technical documentation
Skills & Experience
- Basic to intermediate IT knowledge with a strong willingness to learn
- Experience in IT support, service desk, or field engineering (desirable)
- Understanding of:
- Windows OS and Windows Server
- Networking fundamentals
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and break/fix
Requirements
- Eligible for Security Clearance (SC/NPPV)
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel between sites
- Ideally based within 45 minutes of Bristol
- Flexible, proactive, and eager to learn
