We are seeking a Machinist to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for the production of company equipment using machine shop tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinding machines, following pre-established procedures related to the equipment required depending on the assigned area.
This position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
What You Will Do
- Produce machine parts by programming, assembling, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) or manual machine (Lathes, Mills, Grinders, and other specialized CNC and manual machines).
- Interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, specifications, reference planes, designs sketches and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) for operation, material, and dimensional requirements.
- Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts into sub-units or complete units using operating mechanical equipment.
- Take measurements of material and selects appropriate machines for the process.
- Perform machining setups and makes adjustments as required.
- Have the skill to program different CNC’s.
- Can move between different machines ( CNC, Drill and others precision machines).
- Conduct inspections of work produced.
- Check SPC charts for frequency of checks, gauging and measurements.
- Keep records and maintains quality/safety standards.
- An essential function of this role is the ability to accurately see, read, and interpret information on screens and materials for extended periods. You will be required to successfully complete a post offer vision examination.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
