We are seeking a detail-oriented Electromechanical Inspector with some welding background to ensure the quality, compliance, and integrity of electromechanical components and assemblies. This role is responsible for performing inspections, verifying documentation, and ensuring all materials and workmanship meet applicable standards, drawings, and specifications. This position with be on site 5 days a week, for 4-8 hours a day. This is a 3-6 month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Incoming inspection from external providers of products or services/processing (e.g., nickel plating).
In-process and final inspection of critical features such as witness inspection.
Compilation of final inspection sign-off sheet and report packages.
Verification that inspection equipment used to take measurements is capable of detecting defects.
Verification that inspection methodology is adequate per drawing intent.
Audit and validate the execution to the inspection plan.
Provide weekly reports of manufacturing sites ramp progress, equipment quality performance of the facility, delivery details by Data Center site.
Conduct periodic quality audits of the supplier’s factory, provide reports of results.
Drive closure of findings identified as non-conformance.
Ensuring supplier’s quality control system document the findings.
Provide customer witness for test scripts, including but not limited to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for all equipment. Validate equipment is acceptable with no issues and compliance to the Level 1 commissioning process (Red/Orange tags) before shipment to the Data Center.
Be the on-site support representing Google.
Inspection of rivets and mechanical assembly
Ability to read diagram for wiring assembly
Required Qualifcations:
Experience with inspecting electromechanical components preferably cooling systems
Welding experience and inspection techniques of weld integrity
5 years professional experience OR 3 years with ASME or CWI certification
