Maintenance Supervisor

As Maintenance Supervisor, you are responsible for leading maintenance execution and driving equipment reliability within Manufacturing at ARC’One. This role is accountable for safety, quality of work, team performance, and the day-to-day delivery of maintenance activities across manufacturing equipment, tooling, and systems.
You play a key role in translating maintenance strategies into operational execution by setting directions, prioritizing work, and ensuring resources are effectively aligned to support production needs. You are responsible for making decisions on maintenance priorities and work allocation, balancing reactive support with preventive maintenance to maintain equipment reliability and minimize operational disruption.

With ongoing automation and system integration across the site, you will work closely with Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Facilities, and external partners to support reliable equipment performance and successful implementation of new systems
If you were our Maintenance Supervisor today, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
Lead and coach the Manufacturing Maintenance team by setting clear goals, expectations, and standards for safety, quality, and performance, ensuring alignment with departmental priorities and consistent execution of maintenance work.
Execute and deliver on maintenance objectives set by the Manager, Maintenance, translating strategic direction into actionable plans, priorities, and measurable outcomes for the team.
Define and direct how maintenance work is executed across the team, including prioritization, work allocation, and coordination.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve the maintenance program, setting direction for the balance between reactive and preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and operational performance.
Make decisions on prioritization of maintenance activities and allocation of resources based on equipment criticality, operational impact, and business needs.
Establish and maintain service level expectations with cross functional partners, ensuring alignment on priorities while managing competing demands across operations.
Review and evaluate maintenance work deliverables to ensure quality, completeness, and adherence to standards, providing feedback and coaching to drive improvement.
Manage escalations and lead the resolution of complex equipment, tooling, and system issues by coordinating internal resources and external expertise, removing barriers and working cross functionally to ensure timely and effective outcomes.
Actively participate in the development and improvement of maintenance processes, procedures, and standards, supporting consistency and scalability of operations.
Manage and control the maintenance budget within assigned scope, including decision
Making on spend, contractor usage, and resource allocation to support operational priorities.
Develop scopes of work for contractors, negotiate costs, and ensure work is executed safely, meets quality expectations, and complies with regulatory requirements.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements, reinforcing safe work practices and accountability across the team.
Maintain availability for emergency response, providing leadership and direction during critical events and ensuring clear escalation processes are followed.
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
Expand scope to support both Manufacturing and Distribution as part of a centralized maintenance operating model.
Lead weekday maintenance execution across multiple shifts and departments, coordinating resources and priorities across Manufacturing and Distribution.
Support advanced automation systems including AutoStore, CMC, and conveyor systems, building capability within the team to maintain and troubleshoot these technologies.·
Drive increased preventive maintenance maturity, improving PM compliance, reducing reactive work, and strengthening overall equipment reliability.·
Support workforce development initiatives including apprenticeship programs, cross training, and long-term capability building aligned with Factory of the Future objectives
Are you our next Maintenance Supervisor?
Relevant Trade Certification, or equivalent hands-on experience
8+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
3+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead role with responsibility for directing work and supporting team performance
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills across production equipment and systems
Proven ability to prioritize and manage maintenance activities in a fast paced, high demand environment
Experience balancing reactive maintenance with preventive maintenance programs
Working knowledge of safety regulations and safe work practices, including LOTO and related procedures
Ability to lead, coach, and hold team members accountable for performance and quality of work
Assets
Experience in apparel manufacturing or industrial sewing equipment
Experience supporting automated systems such as conveyors, AutoStore, or similar material handling systems
Experience implementing or working within a CMMS environment
Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies (TPM, reliability centered maintenance, etc.)
Experience managing contractors, vendors, and external service providers
Experience supporting equipment installation, commissioning, or facility expansion projects
Experience developing SOPs, maintenance procedures, or training materials
Strong communication and cross functional collaboration skills
Compensation
The salary range for this role is CAD$94,000- CAD$124,000 (midpoint $118,000)
