We seek part time student workers  who demonstrate strong academic performance, engagement beyond the classroom, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine interest in Zoox’s mission.

Project Overview

This opportunity is in the area of Robot validation which includes HW/FW/SW validation. PT Student-Workers on this team will have the chance to work on current and new robot platforms.

In this role, you will:

The "ideal" candidate is someone who can use AI tools to:

    • Identify Issues: Sort through hundreds of real-time data points to find failures.

    • Root Cause Analysis: Determine why an issue happened using automated tools.

    • Predictive Prevention: Use data to ensure the same hardware or robotics issue doesn't happen again.

  • Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Python, LLMs, AI based coding tools, basic principles of electronic HW validation
  • Bonus Qualifications

  • Automotive ECU knowledge, tools such as Polarion, Jira, Confluence, Testrail, and robot Verification & validation methods
  • Program Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S., in a relevant engineering field.
  • Plan to return to school after completing the program.
  • Available to commit to 6 months 20 hours a week.
  • Located in Foster City and able to come in 3X a week.
  • Student Worker may not use proprietary Zoox information in university theses, publications, or share it outside.
