We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Tax Analyst to join our São Paulo office. Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, Brazil, you will play a critical dual role, executing both corporate direct tax compliance and indirect tax operational routines and local-to-global US tax reporting. In this dynamic position, you will also serve as a vital resource to the broader Brazilian team, directly supporting senior analysts in executing special advisory projects and steering tax production efforts.
Because the Brazilian tax landscape is complex and rapidly changing, the ideal candidate looks at tax through a modern, innovative lens. You possess a strong technical grasp of direct taxes (IRPJ/CSLL), transfer pricing, and indirect taxes (specifically reviewing PIS and COFINS). Most importantly, you are a true AI enthusiast. You don't just use standard tools—you love exploring how artificial intelligence, automation, and prompt engineering can eliminate manual redundancies, optimize tax workflows, and streamline routine processes.
You are a curious self-starter who is never satisfied with the status quo, eager to roll up your sleeves, and thrilled by the chance to work in a high-performance culture built around freedom and responsibility.
You will work closely with both our local and US-based Tax and Financial Reporting teams, and cross-functional partners in Treasury, Accounting, Finance, and Payments.
Oversee corporate direct tax calculations (IRPJ/CSLL), file key ancillary obligations (ECF), and support the preparation of the local and group transfer pricing documentation.
Conduct regular, detailed reviews of PIS and COFINS, while performing rigorous activity cross-checks across the main tax returns to ensure total transactional consistency and mitigate audit risks.
Support senior analysts in driving high-value production tax workflows and controls
Partner with the U.S. corporate tax team to deliver U.S. GAAP tax provisions (FAS109, FIN48, Discrete Items) and manage month-end close tax account reconciliations, and with the Brazil Financial reporting team for Brazil GAAP tax accounting.
Provide comprehensive support during tax audits and handle the tax treatment for import/export transactions (including WHT and broker alignment).
Actively identify, champion, and implement AI and digitization strategies to accelerate the creation of Tax Requirement Documents and modernize overall tax workflows.
Nurture strong relationships and collaborate effectively with local and international cross-functional partners in Treasury, Accounting, Finance, and Payments.
5+ years of solid experience in direct taxes, with a strong grasp of importation/exportation routines, transfer pricing mechanisms, and cross-return verification.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Law with a strong foundation in accounting principles.
ISS knowledge and/experience is a major plus
A proven passion for tech and AI—someone who actively experiments with generative AI and automation tools to scale their work efficiency.
Fluency in both Portuguese and English, with the ability to clearly communicate complex Brazilian tax realities to international teams and managers.
Proficiency in spreadsheets, ERP, and tax systems (experience with Google Workspace, Workday, Synchro or Blackline is a plus).
An "act as owner" mindset—proactive, autonomous, exceptionally organized under tight deadlines, and highly adaptable to changes like the upcoming Brazilian tax reform.
Full alignment with the Netflix culture of freedom, open feedback, and continuous process improvement.
