Manages the tax liability of the company including the planning, accounting, filing, and reporting process; gathers information for purposes of satisfying income tax requirements at all levels of jurisdiction.

Tax returns preparation/supports the filing of tax returns 

Tax determination on customers billing 

Main Activities: 

  • Manage most complex account reconciliations. Address corrective measures that may also impact other teams. Prepare fluctuation analysis (P&L, B/S, payments). 
  • Analysis of accounting data and inventory gains/losses for tax reporting purposes. 
  • Conduct research for more complicated tax questions and contacts tax authorities for clarification as needed. 
  • Lead communication with business partners on issue/discrepancies resolutions. 
  • Review Chevron customers’ taxability application based on tax law and business to ensure compliance 
  • Leads, coordinates and collaborates on special projects as well as review regulations and procedures 

Required Qualification/Soft Skills: 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, business, finance or tax 
  • Combination of + 6 years of tax accounting, finance and/or audit experience Excellent oral/written English skills 
  • Fluent in ERP/Tax systems or tax applications. Utilizes knowledge of work group systems to assist on enhancements and development projects. Preferred qualifications in system implementation (SAP) 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • US or International Direct and Indirect tax experience 
  • Soft skills: coordination/Leadership skills 
  • Analytical skills and critical thinking 
  • Able to adapt processes in response to a fast-paced environment.
