Ford Credit Bank (the “Bank”), a de novo Utah industrial bank headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, will create innovative and simplified banking solutions to help customers across the country finance the purchase of new Ford vehicles, parts, accessories, and software and earn competitive rates on FDIC-insured savings accounts and certificates of deposit. The Bank will be a direct and wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Credit Company (“Ford Credit”), an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company (“Ford”). In this position…

We are looking for customer-focused, driven professionals to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to help Ford launch and scale a new banking institution from the ground up. 

As a member of our Corporate Accounting Team and throughout your career at Ford, you will gain experience and develop your skills in a variety of accounting positions that will provide you with the necessary knowledge and expertise to further advance your career.  Join us as we design vehicles and financial solutions for a smart world, helping people move more safely, confidently, and freely.

We are seeking an analytical and passionate professional with demonstrated accounting and regulatory reporting experience to join our Bank team. 

What you'll do...

  • Implement and perform various aspects of our accounting, financial, and regulatory reporting processes
  • Oversee and support the delivery of accounting-related tasks and projects
  • Establish and oversee reporting for product profitability
  • Research, interpret, and document technical accounting guidance including regulatory and capital treatment guidance
  • Create and implement ideas for automation using data analytic tools
  • Serve as accounting subject matter expert on a variety of cross-functional activities
  • Support internal corporate audits, external audits, and statutory examinations 
  • Facilitate compliance with corporate, financial, regulatory, and other policies
  • Support and ensure adherence to financial controls
  • Collaborate with team members throughout our global organization

You'll have...

  • CPA license preferred with bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting required
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in accounting or auditing preferably in the banking industry
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Strong understanding of Bank Regulatory Reporting inclusive of Basel 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis techniques
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with internal controls over financial reporting 
  • Ability to generate ideas for improvement and implement those ideas independently
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional team members to navigate white-space and implement solutions
  • Strong understanding of Bank Regulatory Reporting inclusive of Basel 

    Even better, you may have...

  • Prior Big 4 public accounting experience or equivalent experience with an SEC registrant 
  • Positive, “can-do” attitude
  • Experience with SAP

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115,500-$218,100.     

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
