You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. The Google International Controllership team's mission is to keep Google safe, legal and operating in each jurisdiction in which the company operates. As a member of this dynamic team you know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end-to-end.

In this role, you will be responsible for the statutory financial and tax filings required by law. You'll also manage and enhance the financial control environment. Empowered to deploy Google's most powerful AI and automation technologies, you will actively streamline processes and forge strategic business partnerships. You won't just maintain the status quo, you will evolve your role and continuously elevate the value our function delivers.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Ireland: €86000 - €88500 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Professional qualification CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
  • 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, applying accounting principles, including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and related international accounting standards.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience in accounting or a related function.
  • Experience in business partnering with strong problem-solving and investigative abilities.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and a high degree of attention to detail and a commitment to continuous process improvement.
  • Demonstrated tech savvy capability or strong interest in utilizing AI, scripts, or advanced automation tools to enhance financial reporting and control environments.
  • Team player who demonstrates strong drive for results, shows leadership, and possesses strong negotiating skills along with excellent people management and communication skills.
