Accounting Specialist

Job Overview

Provide high-quality technical and general accounting support in alignment with IQVIA Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, and applicable statutory reporting standards (e.g., local GAAP). Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting business unit objectives.

Essential Duties

• Prepare and post journal entries in SAP and perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations using BlackLine
• Support the preparation of statutory trial balances and local GAAP adjustments; collaborate with external providers on the preparation of statutory financial statements
• Ensure the timely execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual US GAAP close processes in accordance with IQVIA policies and deadlines
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and prepare ad hoc financial reports for internal stakeholders and management
• Support the annual statutory audit cycle and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) return process, including interaction with external auditors
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements; provide support during internal audits
• Manage payroll-related entries, accruals, prepayments, lease accounting, and support vendor invoice and payment processes in coordination with central teams
• Collaborate regularly with local finance partners, project managers, and internal tax teams to ensure alignment and accuracy
• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, strengthen controls, and improve operational efficiency; actively contribute to continuous improvement and standardization initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience; experience in complex general ledger accounting is an advantage
• Hands-on experience with SAP Finance modules
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners
