Senior Accountant
Job Description & Summary
We are looking for a Senior Accountant with comprehensive knowledge of all accounting processes and more than 4 years of experience in accounting, preferably with knowledge, skills, and experience gained in companies involved in international operations.
As a member of the PwC accounting and tax compliance team, you will be engaged in day-to-day accounting and tax support of our clients (multinational companies).
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the work of junior team members, delegate tasks, review completed work, and provide feedback.
Review accounting databases during monthly / quarterly / annual closing periods.
Prepare financial statements, VAT returns, and corporate income tax declarations.
Prepare reports / memoranda and emails in English and Ukrainian within corporate income tax review projects.
Perform comprehensive analysis of current provisions of the Tax Code of Ukraine.
Assist the manager in providing day-to-day support to clients in accounting and tax matters.
Requirements:
At least 4 years of experience in accountancy and taxation in Ukraine with a reputable international and/or local company (with at least 2 years of this experience demonstrating senior accountant or similar expanded accounting responsibilities). Working experience in accounting outsourcing firms will be considered as a significant advantage).
Degree in Accounting, Audit, Taxation, Finance or Economics (CIMA/ACCA/DipIFR certificates or study in process will be considered as significant advantage).
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with the Ukrainian accounting and tax system, including corporate income tax and VAT legislation. Experience with IFRS is an advantage.
Good command of English and Ukrainian, both written and spoken (upper-intermediate level of English will be considered as an advantage).
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel); advanced Excel skills are an advantage. Experience in BAS. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be considered as advantage.
