This role sits within a mission-driven finance and accounting function supporting a dynamic organization operating in a government contracting environment. You will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance activities. The position offers exposure to end-to-end accounting processes, requiring both precision and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. You will collaborate closely with accounting leadership, auditors, and internal teams to maintain financial integrity and operational efficiency. Accountabilities:

  • Process accounts payable PO vouchers and manage payment workflows using Deltek Costpoint
  • Review, prepare, and execute vendor payments while addressing vendor inquiries
  • Process employee expense reports and reconcile corporate credit card activity
  • Record cash receipts, electronic deposits, and client-related transactions
  • Perform daily cash reconciliation and maintain accurate cash flow tracking
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loans on a monthly basis
  • Prepare journal entries and support monthly and quarterly financial reporting requirements
  • Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and updates
  • Support audits, contract compliance activities, and documentation requests
  • Ensure financial records are accurate, organized, and compliant with internal and external standards
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (with accounting focus)
    • 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in government contracting
    • Hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint and Time & Expense required
    • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation processes
    • High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking skills
    • Ability to work independently while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
    • Proactive, self-motivated mindset with a willingness to learn and improve processes
    • Experience supporting audits and financial reporting is a plus
