Financial Controller, Russian & English Speaker

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Financial Controller based in United States.

This role is a key finance leadership position focused on strengthening and scaling an existing multi-entity finance operation within a fast-growing, service-based business. You will be responsible for enhancing financial controls, improving reporting accuracy, and optimizing end-to-end accounting operations across AR, AP, payroll, and month-end close processes. The position requires a strong operational mindset, with the ability to bring structure, discipline, and efficiency to a complex environment spanning multiple business units. You will work closely with senior leadership including the CFO, COO, and FP&A teams to deliver clear financial insights that support strategic decision-making. The environment is fast-paced and execution-driven, offering significant ownership and visibility across the organization. This is a high-impact role with a clear progression path toward broader finance leadership responsibilities.

• Oversee and optimize core finance operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting processes across multiple entities.
• Strengthen internal financial controls, approval workflows, and cash governance to ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational integrity.
• Manage and improve the month-end close process, including reconciliations, intercompany allocations, and timely financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate and consistent multi-entity financial reporting aligned with US GAAP standards.
• Partner closely with executive leadership including CFO, COO, and FP&A teams to provide financial insights that support business performance and decision-making.
• Lead, structure, and develop a lean finance operations team, fostering accountability and continuous process improvement.
• Drive operational efficiency initiatives aimed at modernizing and scaling the finance function across a growing organization.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of progressive experience in controllership, accounting, or finance operations roles within multi-entity organizations.
• Strong expertise in US GAAP and hands-on experience operating within the US financial and regulatory environment.
• Proven experience managing finance operations in organizations with $10M+ in revenue, preferably in service-based or operationally complex industries.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing finance or accounting teams.
• Excellent understanding of end-to-end accounting cycles including AR, AP, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in both Russian and English, with strong written and verbal proficiency in both languages.
