Senior Accountant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Accountant based in India.

This role offers a strong opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of core financial operations within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records while supporting critical accounting and reporting functions. The position plays a key role in maintaining compliance standards and strengthening financial processes that support overall business performance. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver clear financial insights and ensure effective decision-making. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who thrives on precision, structure, and accountability in financial management. It also offers the chance to contribute to process improvements and support the company’s long-term financial stability.

Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal and external standards. Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliation of accounts
• Preparing financial reports and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, policies, and regulatory requirements
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
• Managing accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently
• Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and financial controls
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data flow
• Assisting management with financial insights to support decision-making

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks in a structured and accurate manner.

• Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a senior finance-related role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical abilities
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with on-site and remote teams
• Good communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus
• Strong command of written and spoken English
