PBI Developer

Introduction to role:

In this role, you will connect business collaborators and our Power BI analytics group. You will translate real-world questions into trusted, actionable dashboards and analytics that support important decisions quickly. Accountabilities:

  • Serve as a key liaison between Business End Users, IT, and the Power BI professionals handling development to pinpoint reporting and data requirements. Translate business needs into clear technical reporting specifications with acceptance criteria, then work with and support the development team to implement and test against those criteria for high-quality outcomes that drive decisions.
  • Agile Delivery and Prioritisation: Collaborate continuously with the Agile Scrum team to groom and refine issues, plan sprints, and implement new reporting efficiencies. Communicate reporting requests to core team members, identify training needs, and supervise implementation from concept to completion to deliver value early and often.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Ensure data accuracy, performance, security, and compliance by implementing validation, optimization, and governance best practices.
  • Process Improvement and Enablement: Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements based on industry trends and professional knowledge. Improve training and operational procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity. Use a variety of data analysis and organization tools to surface the most impactful insights and elevate data literacy across teams.
  • Outcome Expansion and Change Leadership: Deliver results by coordinating indirect contributors. Influence and motivate change across advertising, insights, organizational functions, and IT systems. Scale standard methodologies that improve performance and omnichannel efficiency over time.
     

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in a role associated with reporting, analytics, and/or data management. - Demonstrable understanding of the fundamentals of digital marketing and advertising including multichannel and omnichannel - Demonstrable experience working with detailed report visualizations and data management.
  • Experience with gathering user requirements, developing system documentation, testing or analytical business reports.
  • Demonstrated interest in employing digital solutions to meet critical business needs.
  • Experience in oral and written communication including analysis, report preparation and report presentation.
  • Practical knowledge of Power BI tools - Proven understanding of Data Modelling and BI Semantic Models - Experience using digital marketing channels to achieve marketing goals.
  • Ability to explain business requirements to a technical audience. - Ability to build trusted relationships across a range of partner groups including Marketing, Analytics, Operations, and Technology - Ability to handle multiple projects running in parallel.
  • Ability to drive outcomes while leading a team of indirect reports.
  • Project management experience including risk mitigation and planning.
  • Ability to influence, motivate, and inspire change.
  • Demonstrable experience in problem solving and continuous improvement. - Energetic, self-motivated, positive teammate - Digital Operations experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
     

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • 3+ years pharmaceutical brand marketing experience
  • Background in using Power BI
  • Experience with agile principles and scrum delivery models.
