Java and Python Developer
We're seeking someone to join our Prime Brokerage Data team as a Java and Python Developer in Institutional Securities Tech.
Data Fabric is an API-first platform where producers publish once and distribute governed datasets to multiple endpoints. Metadata-as-code synchronizes to the firmwide data catalogue, automating onboarding, schema control, SLAs, lineage, and archival. The distribution engine routes data to target containers (e.g., Snowflake) while enforcing governance and access policies. Data Fabric reduces risk, accelerates integration, and improves data reuse across the enterprise. It is the backbone for Prime Brokerage and Securities Financing data platform.
In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Java and Python Developer position at Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs and requirements.

What you'll do in the role:
Develop resilient and highly scalable cloud friendly systems operating in today's demanding financial environment
Work on the “Data Fabric” system to
Deliver functionality that our internal business users and developer community can benefit from
Improve the resiliency and effectiveness of the system
What you'll bring to the role:
At least 6 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
Bachelor or higher degree in a STEM field
Ample knowledge of Java or and Python, primarily within server-side development with at least 3 years of experience
User level knowledge of Unix/Linux
Good communication skills in English with confirmed ability to deliver high-quality software working in multi-person teams
