Get to Know the Team

The Lending team builds secure and versatile loan products for diverse user segments, owning critical platform components such as Credit Risk, User Profiles, Credit Limits and Offers, Lender Journeys, the Pricing Engine etc. We design and operate large-scale distributed systems that impact millions of users, with a strong focus on financial inclusion and underserved communities.

Get to Know the Role

As a Backend Software Developer, you will design and build scalable software applications using Go. You will be deeply involved in our development efforts, with a strong understanding of system architecture and responsibility for maintaining backend infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and report to the Engineering Manager, Backend. This role is based in Jakarta.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Develop scalable, reliable, and secure software systems.Engineering Best Practices: Deliver high-quality code using code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.
• Translate requirements into technical solutions while balancing speed, quality, and maintainability.
• Partner with product managers, designers, data teams, and peers to create customer-focused solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
• Contribute to system design decisions and improve performance and operational efficiency.
• Take complete ownership of services across development
• Promote engineering excellence through mentoring, constructive feedback, and technical documentation.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in engineering
• Experience shipping products (like web applications or backend services, etc.) to production.
• You can be a good coder in any language, but willing to work on Golang
• Proficiency in English both oral and Written
• Experience automating tasks using appropriate tools and scripting, and experienced in conducting code reviews to ensure high coding standards.
