AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals. How you will create an impact

• Manage a portfolio of insureds and brokers, acting as the primary point of contact for commercial, operational, and underwriting matters, while ensuring a high level of service and relationship management.
• Perform risk assessment and underwriting activities within delegated authority, contributing to portfolio profitability, growth, and quality.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, retention initiatives, and account expansion strategies in partnership with brokers, clients, and distribution teams.
• Participate in the implementation of underwriting and commercial strategies, providing recommendations based on market analysis, portfolio performance, and risk appetite.
• Support Trade Credit commercial initiatives and the development of priority markets and industry segments.
• Lead negotiations of commercial and structural terms with brokers and insureds in line with company underwriting guidelines.
• Develop advanced knowledge of Trade Credit insurance, underwriting practices, risk assessment, and market trends, while sharing expertise with junior team members.
• Contribute to projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives across the business.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related fields.
• Previous experience in credit analysis, underwriting, insurance, financial services, or risk management.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and build effective relationships with clients and brokers.
• Knowledge of financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment.
• Intermediate to advanced English; Spanish is considered a plus.
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy while contributing to business development, portfolio retention, and the execution of underwriting and commercial strategies.
