Job Description
Purpose
Support and assist Relationship Managers in acquiring, onboarding, servicing and retaining clients to deliver overall business goals, managing complex client situations.
Where required liaise directly with clients regarding complex client requests in respect of various banking and servicing requirements such as onboarding, banking transactions, Investments, credit & digital solutions.
Work closely with Operations and other support functions to deliver positive outcomes for clients.
Accountabilities
Establish strong client and internal relationships alongside relationship managers to ensure high quality service is provided at all times
Responsible for all aspects of clients servicing and service engagement plans. To include leading client service review visits to support and improve client experience
Develop relationships with other areas of the bank; in doing so, they will have joint responsibility with internal colleagues for the end-to-end client experience, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
Point of contact for all new account queries, complex servicing requests and a liaison between relationship teams and support/specialist teams
Ensure legal and regulatory standards and internal policies and procedures are adhered to, support relationship managers with risk related activities

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as a Private Banking Executive - AVP. You will be responsible for driving commercial, risk and collaboration outcomes across the Private Banking business, while delivering an exceptional level of service to Singapore and internationally focused HNW, UHNW and Family Office clients.
You will play a key role in executing strategic business initiatives and supporting the delivery of the overall business strategy and agenda. You will also act as a key point of escalation for complex issues, requiring an in-depth understanding of the end-to-end client journey across multiple internal departments and processes.
You will work closely with the Private Banker teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on client outcomes, operational excellence and risk management.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, as well as job-specific technical skills.
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong understanding of the Private Bank product suite, including investment solutions, banking and credit, and wealth planning
- Proven ability to influence, collaborate and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external
- Solid working knowledge of banking and operational procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge to make sound, risk-based decisions
- Experience in mentoring or supporting peers and contributing to a high-performing team environment (non-people management)
- Excellent understanding of the client base, including key service providers and internal partner teams
- Strong knowledge of risk and control frameworks and procedures
- The role holder will have a general understanding of Private Bank’s products and services and of the Barclays Group
- The role holder will have a good understanding of the local & international regulatory requirements.
- The role holder will have experience of operating within a financial risk and control framework.
- The role holder will be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of relevant changes in the marketplace, products, legislation and regulation and understands the implications to the role (e.g. anti-money laundering & KYC).
- The role holder will have demonstrated experience in training others.
- Excellent understanding of the client base, including key service providers and internal partner teams
- Experience using Avaloq & Salesforce.
This role is regulated by MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore).
