Channel Manager

Bellroy · China

IN A NUTSHELL

Bellroy is on a mission to build a meaningful presence in China and we’re just getting started. Over the past four years, we’ve shifted from cross-border selling to a fully localised operation. As campaign complexity grows and the ecommerce landscape evolves, we're looking for a Channel Manager who can bring real depth to marketplace management, not just coverage.

You’ll be responsible for shaping Bellroy’s ecommerce channel strategy and translating it into clear commercial and operational plans. Working closely with our TP partners and external agencies, you’ll set priorities, provide direction, and ensure campaigns and day-to-day operations are executed efficiently and to a high standard. You’ll use data and insights to identify opportunities, optimise performance, and continuously improve how we show up across key marketplaces, while elevating the consumer experience and ensuring a consistent, premium brand journey across all touchpoints. Inside Bellroy you'll sit alongside the broader Operations team and have a direct line to our Country Manager, so when you spot something worth doing, you won't be shouting into a void. Good thinking gets heard here, and the person who did the work gets the credit for it.

Plenty of people in marketplace roles spend their days squeezed between an agency on one side and internal sign-offs on the other, never quite holding the wheel. This role hands you the wheel. You get genuine ownership of the channel, the room to back your own analysis, and a clear path to grow as the China business does.

YOU COULD BE THE ONE IF YOU HAVE…

  • Three or more years running e-commerce, marketplace or digital commerce, with real hands-on time on platforms like Tmall, JD or Douyin. You know how these channels behave, not just in theory.
  • A track record of managing external agencies or TPs. You can brief them well, tell good work from filler, and step in when something's off.
  • A genuinely analytical head. You're comfortable living in the numbers across sales, traffic, conversion, ROI and profitability, and you use them to decide what to do next, not just to report what already happened.
  • The instinct to take something and run with it. You can hold channel performance and daily operations on your own without waiting to be told the next step.
  • A continuous-improvement streak. You notice when a process is clunky and you fix it, rather than working around it for the third month running.
  • The ability to turn what the data is telling you into a commercial plan someone can actually act on.
  • Curiosity about new tools, including where AI and automation can take the dull parts off your plate, and the appetite to keep learning as the platforms change under your feet.
  • A real interest in consumer brands and where digital commerce is heading. The people who do well here actually care about this stuff.

Even if you don't tick every box, if the idea of taking full ownership of Bellroy's China marketplaces excites you, we'd love to hear from you.

IF YOU WERE HERE LAST WEEK, YOU MIGHT HAVE…

  • Noticed conversion slipping on a key Tmall product page, dug into the data to work out why, and rewritten the listing to fix it.
  • Sat down with our TP agency to brief them on the next big campaign and pushed back where the plan wasn't sharp enough.
  • Pulled the week's performance together for Country Manager and the Operations team, and flagged the one number that needed a decision.
  • Reconciled sales reporting and tidied the dashboard so next week's read is cleaner. Not glamorous, but it's the kind of thing that keeps everything else honest.
  • Mapped out how we want to show up for an upcoming sales peak like 618 or Double 11, balancing what performs with how the brand should look.
