Agentic Data Governance Specialist (AI&Data)

Accenture · Warsaw

WHO WE ARE:
Accenture is a leading global professional services company that helps the world’s leading businesses, governments, and other organizations build their digital core, optimize their operations, accelerate revenue growth, and enhance citizen services.

At the AI&Data, we work locally and globally with over 200 Poland-based specialists. Our expertise spans data architecture and sectoral specialization. We provide comprehensive support from strategy definition to solution implementation and development, covering all aspects of Data & Analytics. For more information about Accenture Technology Poland please visit our website: Poland | Let There Be Change | Accenture.

THE WORK:

  • Contribute to governance approaches for distributed and scalable data architectures, including domain-oriented ownership, federated governance models, and metadata-driven practices that enable continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with Data Architects, Engineers, InfoSec, Compliance, and AI teams to embed governance principles into technical and operational processes and translate business needs into practical implementation approaches.

  • Guide clients in defining and implementing semantic layer standards, including SKOS, RDF, and SML as foundational infrastructure for modern Data & AI platforms.

  • Design and operationalize semantic layers, business glossaries, and taxonomies; develop ontology and knowledge-graph-driven data models that link business meaning to physical data assets, including in agentic and LLM environments.

  • Solid working knowledge of knowledge graphs and ontologies and their application in modelling complex relationships between business entities across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.

  • Participate in client workshops, governance assessments, and solution shaping activities, while establishing robust governance around Agentic AI, Responsible AI, and modern enterprise data management.

  • Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely (most of the time), onsite at a client or in an Accenture office - depending on specific project circumstances. With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • Work on projects for international clients across multiple industries, expanding your skill set in "new" data governance, metadata, semantics, and Agentic AI-enabled operating models.

  • Gain exposure to advisory, delivery, and strategic work, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across business, architecture, engineering, compliance, and AI.

  • Build your expertise in a role that supports professional growth through real client challenges, solution shaping, and enterprise-scale Data & AI initiatives.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Experience moving beyond standard data governance to "new" governance frameworks based on ontologies, graphs, and Agentic AI.

  • A strong conceptual understanding of graph concepts in governance and how they are utilized within agent-based environments (deep hands-on experience is not strictly required as this is a new field, but grasping the core concepts is essential).

  • Strong understanding of modern enterprise data ecosystems and governance challenges in AI-driven organizations, including distributed data ownership models, federated governance, and metadata-driven architectures.

  • Hands-on familiarity with semantic layers, business glossaries, taxonomies, and ontology or knowledge graph approaches such as RDF/OWL and SKOS.

  • Understanding of cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse, BigQuery, or Redshift, and confidence working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, alongside a pragmatic and forward-thinking approach to governance in fast-changing organizations.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Familiarity with graph databases (e.g., AWS Neptune) and understanding their application in agentic AI contexts.

  • Experience in consulting or multi-client environments, including support for RFP responses, solution shaping, or proposal development within the Data & AI domain.

  • Experience with governance and data catalog tools such as Atlan, Collibra, Purview, or Alation, as well as real-world implementation of semantic models, enterprise taxonomies, or domain ontologies.

  • Familiarity with knowledge graphs, semantic web standards, Responsible AI, or comprehensive AI governance frameworks.

Research indicates that some candidates, especially the most diverse ones, may hesitate to apply for positions if they don't meet all requirements. If you believe you possess the necessary skills, even if not meeting every requirement, we wholeheartedly encourage you to submit your application.
