Position Summary...
As a Senior Manager, Data Analytics (Patient Safety) within Health & Wellness, you will lead strategic measurement and decision science to improve patient safety outcomes at scale without direct people management. You will partner across Patient Safety, Clinical Operations, Quality, Pharmacy/Clinical programs, Product/Tech, Data Engineering, and Compliance to define trusted metrics, evaluate interventions, and translate complex risk signals into practical decision tools and executive-ready narratives.What you'll do...
- Own patient safety measurement strategy and KPI governance
- Define and maintain patient safety “North Star” outcomes and supporting metric hierarchies (e.g., harm reduction, near-miss reporting, event severity, time-to-mitigation, reliability measures).
- Establish metric definitions, data lineage, and data quality checks across clinical and operational systems.
- Partner with BI and data engineering to deliver scalable dashboards and self-serve reporting.
- Translate ambiguous safety concerns into decision-ready analytics
- Convert broad questions (e.g., “events are rising—what changed?”) into hypotheses, success metrics, and analysis plans.
- Align stakeholders on what decisions/actions will change based on results (policy, workflow, training, tooling, staffing, controls).
- Design and evaluate interventions using rigorous methods
- Architect and assess experiments and quasi-experiments for safety initiatives (workflow changes, clinical decision support, training, audit/feedback, escalation pathways).
- Apply causal inference and statistical methods (regression, difference-in-differences, matching/propensity, Bayesian approaches, time-series, simulation/Monte Carlo) to quantify impact and uncertainty.
- Ensure appropriate controls for bias, confounding, seasonality, and operational variability.
- Translate risk and safety signals into business tools and playbooks
- Convert model outputs and risk indicators into practical tools (guardrails, thresholds, triage frameworks, escalation triggers, operating playbooks).
- Build scenario and sensitivity frameworks to support decisions under uncertainty.
- Deliver executive-ready narratives and influence outcomes
- Synthesize complex findings into clear, intuitive stories for clinical and non-clinical leaders.
- Drive alignment across cross-functional partners and influence roadmaps, operating cadences, and adoption of safety interventions.
- Establish best practices for reproducible, compliant analytics
- Set standards for documentation, code quality, peer review, and measurement hygiene.
- Partner with governance/compliance teams to ensure appropriate handling of sensitive health data.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
