This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP Data Migration Engineer based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs within a fully remote, enterprise-grade environment. You will play a critical role in enabling accurate, secure, and efficient migration of complex business data from legacy systems into modern SAP landscapes. The position spans the full data migration lifecycle, including extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and cutover support. You will work closely with cross-functional SAP teams, business stakeholders, and technical specialists to ensure data integrity and business continuity. The environment is highly collaborative, structured around long-term delivery roadmaps and mission-critical enterprise initiatives. This is a hands-on engineering role where precision, scalability, and governance are central to success.

Accountabilities:

  • Design and execute end-to-end SAP data migration strategies for S/4HANA implementations, including both greenfield and conversion programs.
  • Extract, transform, cleanse, and prepare data from legacy systems for SAP ingestion using standard and custom tools.
  • Configure and manage SAP LTMC migration objects, SLT replication scenarios, and logical system setups.
  • Support system landscape activities such as refreshes, virtualization, and replication monitoring using SAP LVM.
  • Develop and maintain validation, reconciliation, and audit-ready reporting to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Execute mock migrations, dress rehearsals, and final cutover activities, including runbook execution and rollback planning.
  • Collaborate with functional and business teams to validate master and transactional data readiness.
  • Optimize high-volume data loads through performance tuning, parallel processing, and efficient data structuring.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering migration design, architecture, and operational procedures.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP data migration projects.
    • Strong expertise with SAP LTMC and S/4HANA migration tools and frameworks.
    • Experience with SAP SLT replication, transformation rules, and data filtering mechanisms.
    • Working knowledge of SAP LVM for landscape management and system operations.
    • Strong understanding of SAP master and transactional data structures.
    • Proven experience in data validation, reconciliation, and data quality assurance.
    • Advanced SQL skills and strong data analysis capabilities.
    • Experience working in complex enterprise SAP environments during major transformation programs.
    • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.
    • Exposure to S/4HANA implementations (greenfield or brownfield) preferred.
    • Familiarity with ETL tools such as SAP Data Services is a plus.
